13th Floor Elevators’s debut, ‘Levitation’, does not fit easily into one genre. For older fans Levitation will put a massive smile accross your face. Levitation is an amazing album, racked with beauty.This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Roller Coaster is almost impossible to review. Fire Engine is probably the highlight of the album. 13th Floor Elevators rocks harder than ever with Reverberation. Don’t judge Don’t Fall Down on the first listening. Tried to Hide is a good listen every once in a while. Splash 1 (4:26) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Some call You’re Gonna Miss Me from Levitation as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Monkey Island is a cool, simple song by 13th Floor Elevators at the top of his game. Kingdom of Heaven is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. The opening track She Lives (In a Time of Her Own) is very much like you would expect from other albums.
