Splendido Hotel carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. While no new Al Di Meola album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1979 tour in South America. This album has some very good songs like Alien Chase On Arabian Desert and Silent Story In Her Eyes. Splendido Hotel is the best essence of Al Di Meola.
Silent Story In Her Eyes is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Two To Tango motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Al Di’s Dream Theme is worth the money. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Don’t judge Splendido Sundance on the first listening. I Can Tell pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Spanish Eyes sets the tone for the entire album. Although Isfahan is very melodic it is far from sad. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing.
