On From Celtic Roots album, Alan Stivell have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Alan Stivell’s album From Celtic Roots falls to No. 2 with 372,000, a sales slide of 78%. Since completing 1973’s ‘Susy Macguire’, Alan Stivell fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. One of Alan Stivell’s best albums yet.
Only one song from From Celtic Roots named Ian Morrisson really got me. She Moved Through The Fair - A nice song. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I have all of Alan Stivell’s tracks and Oidhche Mhaith is probably the most his introspective effort. Voice and instruments in An Dro Nevez complement each other. Maro Ma Mestrez to me is the best you can get from Alan Stivell. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Such hits like Metig will leave you hooked. Kimiad is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo.
