This album has some very good songs like Ar C’hoant Dimezin (Vouloir Se Marier-I Want To Marry…) and Rouantelezh Vreizh (Le Royaume De Bretagne-The Breton…). It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Alan Stivell energies, virtually a rebirth. There were many famous songs of Alan Stivell available. If I may, I suggest “Ar C’hoant Dimezin (Vouloir Se Marier-I Want To Marry…)”. That one song is amazing!
From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Dugelezh Vreizh (Le Duche De Bretagne-The Breton…) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I like Stok Ouzh An Enez (En Vue De L’ile-Close To The Island…) because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Such hits like Liegemen Of The Trembing Slopes (Hommes Liges Des…) will leave you hooked. We Shall Survive - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Cailin Og Deas (Une Jeune Et Jolie Fille-Bonny Lassie…) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. O’carolan’s Farewell-The Musical Priest - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Alan Stivell. I came to like An Nighean Dubh (La Fille Aux Cheveux Noirs-The Black…). It took me a little time but I ended up loving Fest-Hypnoz.
