Since completing 1971’s ‘Ys’, Alan Stivell fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Alan Stivell was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Alan Stivell and Renaissance Of The Celtic Harp together. There is no doubt that Alan Stivell has talent. Exciting stuff.
Marv Pontkalleg is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Extracts From Penllyn Manuscript Of Harp Music one is one of the better boring ones. Eliz Iza is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Gaeltacht sets the tone for the entire album.
