eight years ago, Alex De Grassi briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Blue and White”. This is the first studio album from Alex De Grassi since bad diagnosis in 1983. This album has some very good songs like Overland and Blue and White. Southern Exposure constantly brilliant.
Blue and White is the first taste of the new album. Music and lyrics of 36 creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Cumulus is a strong cut, one of many. Southern Exposure is almost impossible to review. Western - For me, this is the best of the album. Street Waltz is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Empty Room is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
