This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Alice Cooper has. After seeing Go To Hell, I had to have a good Alice Cooper cd. Alice Cooper’s debut, ‘Goes To Hell’, does not fit easily into one genre. If you love Alice Cooper as much as I do, then Alice Cooper Goes To Hell is the CD for you!
You Gotta Dance is the albums biggest surprise. Album opener I’m The Coolest is a bright, upbeat ditty. Alice Cooper rocks harder than ever with Didn’t We Meet. A unique and uplifting song. Give The Kid A Break as a highlight of Goes To Hell contains a ton of amazing melodies. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Guilty because the melody in the chorus is so good. Wake Me Gently had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Wish You Were Here is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Going Home on Goes To Hell is solid and easy to listen to.
