Since completing 1980’s ‘Make Love Whenever You Can’, Arabesque fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Lead single “Make Love Whenever You Can” and “Keep The Wolf From The Door” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Self-described as Dance with lots of words, Arabesque comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Arabesque IV touched my soul like nothing else.
Overall a nice softer song. I Don’t Wanna Have Breakfast With You is the most memorable and gorgeous. Nights In The Harbour is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Get Arabesque IV and turn on Hey What A Magic Night if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. I like the agression and power of Hi Hi Highway. You Win, Hands Down - My least favorite song on this album. Black Out is one of the best records ever. Born To Reggae - A nice song.
