It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Bach energies, virtually a rebirth. This is the first studio album from Bach since bad diagnosis in 1955. Since completing 1955’s ‘BWV 988: Aria’, Bach fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Check it every song is worth the money for the Goldberg Variations CD!
BWV 988: Variatio 1 is the funkiest number on the album. BWV 988: Variatio 2 - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. There is gorgeous mix of music in BWV 988: Variatio 3. Canone all’ Unisono. BWV 988: Variatio 4 as a highlight of Goldberg Variations contains a ton of amazing melodies. It’s a great pleasure to listen to BWV 988: Variatio 5 from the beginning to the end. BWV 988: Variatio 6. Canone alla Seconda - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I came to like BWV 988: Variatio 7. BWV 988: Variatio 8 has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. BWV 988: Variatio 9. Canone alla Terza is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. BWV 988: Variatio 11 - A nice song. It took me a little time but I ended up loving BWV 988: Variatio 12. Canone alla Quarta. Put BWV 988: Variatio 13 into car stereo for your highway driving The first time I listened to BWV 988: Variatio 14 I was struck by its exquisite sound. I loved BWV 988: Variatio 15. Canone allla Quinta. Andante the first time I heard it. The opening track BWV 988: Variatio 16. Ouverture is very much like you would expect from other albums. BWV 988: Variatio 17 is the albums biggest surprise. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Bach offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. BWV 988: Variatio 21. Canone alla Settima is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. BWV 988: Variatio 22. Alla breve one of the best in my collection. Song BWV 988: Variatio 23 is actually a funny song. BWV 988: Variatio 24. Canone all’ Ottava is a great opener for Goldberg Variations. BWV 988: Variatio 25 is one of these floating songs. BWV 988: Variatio 26 is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. BWV 988: Variatio 27. Canone alla Nona is another strong production from Bach. BWV 988: Variatio 28 - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I was truly moved when I heard BWV 988: Variatio 29. A great put together song. First time I heard BWV 988: Aria was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.BWV 988: Fugue In Fsharp Minor is worth the money. BWV 988: Fugue In E Major is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
