Lead single “She Said” and “Happy Old World” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There is no doubt that Barclay James Harvest has talent. Barclay James Harvest’s debut, ‘Once Again’, does not fit easily into one genre. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Happy Old World
Happy Old World is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Song For Dying has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I have all of Barclay James Harvest’s tracks and Galadriel is probably the most his introspective effort. Mocking Bird is the most memorable and amazing. Vanessa Simmons is a bit different from Barclay James Harvest stereotypical stuff. Ball And Chain to me is the best you can get from Barclay James Harvest. I came to like Lady Loves.
