Self-described as Reggae with lots of words, Barry Brown comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Barry Brown on ‘Best Things In Life (Extended’. This ten-song debut EP shows the promise that Barry Brown has. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. School Days (Extended Dub) is Barry Brown’s best work in years. Conscious Dread (Extended Dub) hits the heart. Ain’t Gonna Turn Back (Extende gives good insight into the truths. 30 Pieces Of Silver is probably the highlight of the album. Get King Jammy Presents (Black Arrow 1980) and turn on 30 Pieces Of Dub if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Strong, powerful vocals of Barry Brown in Don’t Let No One Fool You are very impressive. Dub - Well, here we get a bit more meaning.
