String Quartet in B flat major, op.18 no.6; Amadeus Quartet isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Beethoven, Ludwig Van on ‘1.Allegro con brio’. After seeing 1.Allegro con brio, I had to have a good Beethoven, Ludwig Van cd. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
It took me a little time but I ended up loving 2.Adagio ma non troppo. You can find feelings on this piece of art. So much energy, so exciting a sound.
