On the Canada charts, superstar Ben Webster’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. It’s natural for Ben Webster to take a stab at ‘Stardust’ considering her long-professed love for Gustav Holst. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ben Webster on ‘Stardust’. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like At The Renaissance.
Musically Caravan is superior to other tracks in At The Renaissance. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. The song feels complete. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on At The Renaissance. What Is This Thing Called Love is probably the most interesting track on At The Renaissance. I now have Renaissance Blues as one of my personal favorites.
