When you buy a Bill Conti album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Since Bill Conti last CD (Escape To Victory) on ForeFront Records back in 1981, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of the best Cd’s Bill Conti has dropped to date. This album is a scorcher!
The Pow Camp which is my favorite is a truly Bill Conti sounding song. First Training is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. A great put together song. Day Of The Match one of the best in my collection. Nazis’ Dirty Game - another great track from the Escape To Victory album. Goal For Allies! - Okay, I just talked about depth. In ‘we Can Win’ it becomes nowhere more obvious that Bill Conti has yet to define own style. I find myself hearing bits of Fernandes’ Incredible Shot/Draw here and there throughout my waking hours. Penalty Blocked/Escape to Victory (2:49) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Bill Conti allows each song to breathe and flourish.
