On Rebel Yell album, Billy Idol have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There is no doubt that Billy Idol has talent. This album is in perfect progression from Billy Idol!
In Daytime Drama full palet of sound is used by Billy Idol to accentuate the presentation. Eyes Without A Face stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Blue Highway is probably the most interesting track on Rebel Yell. Flesh For Fantasy is possibly the best song Billy Idol has come up. Catch My Fall is the gorgeous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Blew our minds when we first heard Crank Call. (Do Not) Stand In The Shadows is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The Dead Next Door is a perfect, simple song by Billy Idol at the top of his game.
