‘Eat To The Beat’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Blondie comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. On the Italy charts, superstar Blondie’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Another great offering from Blondie.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. In Union City Blue full palet of sound is used by Blondie to accentuate the presentation. Shayla has a fun tempo. One listen to the sheer beauty of Eat To The Beat was all I needed. This track is clearly meant to showcase Blondie’s vocal abilities. What sets Die Young Stay Pretty apart is Blondie’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. I like the idea behind Atomic. Sound-A-Sleep is a excellent, simple song by Blondie at the top of his game. In Victor it becomes nowhere more obvious that Blondie has yet to define own style. Living In The Real World is a bit of a show-tune.
