Otis Rush - Chess Blues (1954-1960) - CD3 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There is no doubt that Blues - Various Artists has talent. This album has some very good songs like You Got to Love Me (Billy Boy Arnold) and Come on Home (Eddie Boyd). I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Blues - Various Artists ever.
Come on Home (Eddie Boyd) is a excellent song and it grows on you. In Please Don’t Go (Floyd Dixon) you won’t find any flashy solos. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Otis Rush - Chess Blues (1954-1960) - CD3 is Break of Day (Howlin’ Wolf). Sitting on Top of the World (Howlin’ Wolf) is worth the money. Smokestack Lightnin’ (Howlin’ Wolf) is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. She Don’t Know (J. B. Lenoir) still maintains something of a specific flourish. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Otis Rush - Chess Blues (1954-1960) - CD3. Blues - Various Artists is hitting on all cylinders in Key to the Highway (Little Walter). Blues - Various Artists breathes new life into the music in Mellow Down Easy (Little Walter). My Babe (Little Walter) gives good insight into the truths. Double Trouble (alternate; Muddy Waters) sets the tone for the entire album. Got My Mojo Working (Muddy Waters) is nothing but pure genius. My Eyes (Keep Me in Trouble; Muddy Waters) is the first taste of the new album. So Many Roads, So Many Trains (Otis Rush) is beautiful, yet underrated track. I’m Leaving You (Otis Spann) on Otis Rush - Chess Blues (1954-1960) - CD3 is solid and easy to listen to. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. If you are a Blues - Various Artists fan, you will love Don’t Start Me to Talkin’ (Sonny Boy Williamson). The song Fattening Frogs for Snakes (alternate; Sonny Boy Williamson) ending is my favorite… so catchy! Keep It to Yourself (Sonny Boy Williamson) have really caught my ear and imagination. Vocals of Blues - Various Artists in The Goat (band track; Sonny Boy Williamson) really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Your Funeral and My Trial (Sonny Boy Williamson) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Walking the Blues (Willie DIxon) is the song that really did it for me. 29 Ways (Willie Dixon) is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Otis Rush - Chess Blues (1954-1960) - CD3 have ended.
