On Bo Diddley album, Bo Diddley have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Bo Diddley’s debut, ‘Bo Diddley’, does not fit easily into one genre. After seeing Mr Khrushchev, I had to have a good Bo Diddley cd. Another great offering from Bo Diddley.
Diddling is the most memorable and gorgeous. Give Me A Break (Man) is beautiful, yet underrated track. I love the melodic melody of Who May Your Lover Be and to this day it makes me feel good. Babes In The Woods is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Sad Sack is pretty funky and mellow. You All Green is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Bos Bounce is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. You Cant Judge A Book By The Cover on Bo Diddley is solid and easy to listen to. Still going through Bo Diddley and coming to appreciate Mama Dont Allow No Twistin more and more with every listen. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time.
