There is so much to love about Bob Dylan, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Bob Dylan’s new album to that on ‘Blonde On Blonde’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Bob Dylan energies, virtually a rebirth. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
I believe Absolutely Sweet Marie is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Bob Dylan has astounded me with this amazing track. Just Like A Woman - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. As always, Bob Dylan’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Most Likely You Go Your Way (3:29) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Obviously 5 Believers is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Bob Dylan ever produced. After you’ve listened to One Of Us Must Know, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. It’s such an underrated song. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Blonde On Blonde. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Blonde On Blonde. Stuck Inside Of Mobile is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Temporary Like Achilles is almost impossible to review. I’ve found myself listening to Visions Of Johanna back to back and back many times.
