Brian Setzer And The Tomcats was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Brian Setzer And The Tomcats and Rockabilly Boogie together. For older fans Rockabilly Boogie will put a massive smile accross your face. Since Brian Setzer And The Tomcats last CD (Rockabilly Boogie) on Savoy Records back in 1980, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of Brian Setzer And The Tomcats best albums
Rumble In Brighton (Take 1) which is my favorite is a truly Brian Setzer And The Tomcats sounding song. Rumble In Brighton (Take 2) - To me, this is the best song on the Rockabilly Boogie. Brian Setzer And The Tomcats is one of artists that allow his songs like Beast Of Burden to stand on their own and be heard. In Rockabilly Boogie the music gets its power. A great put together song. You Can’t Strut - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Stray Cat Strut. I listened to the opening track Peggy Sue and liked it a lot. Ubangi Stomp defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Summertime Blues has a fun tempo. Fishnet Stockings - This one is lively and fun.
