Burl Ives emotions are reflected through lenora let your hair hang down. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on The Nashville Years, Vol. 1. i walk the line gets you up and jumping. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. mama don’t want no peas no rice sets the tone for the entire album. empty saddles catches attention immediately, the oregon trail defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I can’t stop playing home on the range. In when the bloom is on the sage full palet of sound is used by Burl Ives to accentuate the presentation. Don’t judge my adobe hacienda on the first listening. cowboy’s dream is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Excellent vocals and musical performances. the last roundup makes a person feel marvelous. o bury me not on the lone prairie is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. jingle jangle jingle the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Burl Ives. I loved tumbling tumbleweeds the first time I heard it. holding hands for joe is a fine track on any terms. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. what you gonna do leroy is just simply stunning.
