Lead single “Any River” and “The Sun” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After seeing Any River, I had to have a good Burning Spear cd. Burning Spear was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Burning Spear and Dry and Heavy together. Unappreciated gift to Reggae
The Sun - I just love it. It’s A Long Way Around had me crying as I was able to relate so well. This song is dynamic and dramatic. I loved Throw Down Your Arms the first time I heard it. In Dry & Heavy Burning Spear is at his best. Wailing is nothing but pure genius. Black Disciples is another favourite of mine. Shout It Out catches attention immediately,
