Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Caetano Veloso’s new album to that on ‘Cinema Transcendental’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. For older fans Cinema Transcendental will put a massive smile accross your face. This album has some very good songs like Lua de so Jorge and Orao ao tempo. IT makes me wanna dance!
Orao ao tempo have really caught my ear and imagination. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Caetano Veloso. Album opener Menino do rio is a bright, upbeat ditty. Vampiro is astounding. Elegia (2:23) - awsome. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Trilhos urbanos. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Cajuina without a doubt is the standout song of Cinema Transcendental. When I listen to Aracaju in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. One listen to the sheer beauty of Badau was all I needed. Os meninos danam is another favourite of mine.
