Since Captain Beefheart last CD (Ice Cream for Crow) on Columbia Records back in 1982, I have felt a massive void in my life. Ice Cream for Crow is an amazing album, racked with beauty.IF YOU LIKE ALL Captain Beefheart’S SONG GO FOR IT! Ice Cream for Crow touched my soul like nothing else.
The Host The Ghost The Most Holy O gets you up and jumping. Semi Multicoloured Caucasian is perfect. I have all of Captain Beefheart’s tracks and Hey Garland I Dig Your Tweed Coat is probably the most his introspective effort. Evening Bell is one of the coolest songs Captain Beefheart has ever recorded. Captain Beefheart sings his heart out in Cardboard Cut Out Sundown. The Past Sure Is Tense is the most memorable and astounding. Ice Cream for Crow couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Ink Mathematics. Such hits like The Witch Doctor Life will leave you hooked. ‘81′ Poop Hatch is a very catchy tune. Vocals of Captain Beefheart in The Thousandth And Tenth Day Of The Human Totem Po really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Song Skeleton Makes Good is actually a funny song.
