Captain Beefheart was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Captain Beefheart and Safe as Milk together. Captain Beefheart had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Captain Beefheart’s new album to that on ‘Safe as Milk’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Great ROck: Alternative right here!
I listened to the opening track Zig Zag Wanderer and liked it a lot. Overall a nice softer song. Dropout Boogie is perfect. Captain Beefheart has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Electricity - A nice song. As always, Captain Beefheart’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Abba Zaba is a amazing, simple song by Captain Beefheart at the top of his game. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Where There’s Woman is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Voice and instruments in Grown So Ugly complement each other. In Autumn’s Child you won’t find any flashy solos. Safe as Milk (Take 5) is worth the money. If you are a Captain Beefheart fan, you will love On Tomorrow. Big Black Baby Shoes - This one is lively and fun. Flower Pot has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. No Captain Beefheart song has come close to capturing my attention as Dirty Blue Gene did. Trust Us (Take 9) is one of the best records ever. Korn Ring Finger is probably one of Captain Beefheart’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
