Now signed to Cerrone’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Back Track” leads Cerrone’s back-to-school campaign. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Cerrone energies, virtually a rebirth. Back Track isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. If I may, I suggest “Way In”. That one song is amazing!
Back Track has a fun tempo. From the moment you listen to Strollin On Sunday you’re hooked. Trippin On The Moon sets the tone for the entire album. Rendez - Vous - I like this one. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Anybody Can Do Anything. Cerrone breathes new life into the music in Supernature. Stop On By is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Cerrone released so far. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right.
