Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Chico Buarque comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I am not a real Latin music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Caetano e Chico juntos e ao vivo’ really is amazing. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Chico Buarque on ‘Bom Conselho’. If I may, I suggest “Bom Conselho”. That one song is amazing!
Partido Alto is perfect. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Caetano e Chico juntos e ao vivo is Tropiclia. Morena dos Olhos d’Agua is a marvelous song and it grows on you. I can’t stop humming along Rita / Esse Cara. Atrs da porta - Okay, I just talked about depth. Vo no entende nada / Cotidiano - A catchy, upbeat tune. Bbara is one of the more up-tempo songs on Caetano e Chico juntos e ao vivo. Ana de Amsterdam is simple, dignified and effective, Chico Buarque refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Janelas Abertas is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Os argonautas makes a person feel amazing.
