Lead single “Vida” and “Mar E Lua” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real Latin music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Vida’ really is amazing. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Chico Buarque on ‘Vida’. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Strong, powerful vocals of Chico Buarque in Mar E Lua are very impressive. In Deixe A Menina Chico Buarque is at his best. Ja Passou defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Vida. Qualquer Cancao - another great track from the Vida album. The sound in Fantasia is really warm and Chico Buarque’s signature voice is still very much present. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. De Todos As Maneiras is a exquisite song and it grows on you. Morena De Angola - Okay, I just talked about depth. Bye Bye Brasil is perfect. Nao Sonho Mais gives taste of what makes Chico Buarque special as a musician.
