Since Chris De Burgh last CD (At The End Of A Perfect Day) on Virgin Records back in 1977, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been eleven years Chris De Burgh’ last studio CD, “At The End Of A Perfect Day” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I am not a real Pop: Pop-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘At The End Of A Perfect Day’ really is amazing. At The End Of A Perfect Day touched my soul like nothing else.
Round and Around is the more seemingly obscure song on At The End Of A Perfect Day that bear up best to repeated listening. I Will is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through At The End Of A Perfect Day. All of songs on At The End Of A Perfect Day and have something to say letting alone Summer Rain. I like Discovery because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Chris De Burgh. Some call In A Country Churchyard from At The End Of A Perfect Day as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. I think A Rainy Night In Paris is the best song Chris De Burgh has ever done. In If You Really Love Her, Let He you won’t find any flashy solos. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
