This album has some very good songs like Nothing’s Happening By The Sea and Deep Water. Chris Rea had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Chris Rea comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Water Sign constantly brilliant.
This track is clearly meant to showcase Chris Rea’s vocal abilities. Candles is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Love’s Strange Ways is a bit different from Chris Rea stereotypical stuff. Texas is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Let It Loose is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Simple and heartfelt closing track I Can Hear Your Heart Beat closes Water Sign on a high note. Midnight Blue is the albums biggest surprise. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. This is one hell of a track.
