While no new Climax Blues Band album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1980 tour in North America. This disc has all of the essential Climax Blues Band classics. Climax Blues Band’s debut, ‘Flying The Flag’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album is in perfect progression from Climax Blues Band!
So Good After Midnight - My least favorite song on this album. Horizontalized is really a nice song to relax and listen too. I Love You is a very catchy tune. As always, Climax Blues Band’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. I hope to keep hearing Climax Blues Band works for a long time to come. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Money Talkin’, which shows, blatantly, how much Climax Blues Band has evolved as a singer. Blackjack and Me is a fine track on any terms. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Nothing But Starlight is my favorite song on Flying The Flag. One for Me and You is absolutely incredible.
