Cock Sparrer was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Cock Sparrer and Shock Troops together. ‘Shock Troops’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Cock Sparrer’s new album to that on ‘Shock Troops’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Shock Troops is not something you should pass up.
I think Riot Squad is the best song Cock Sparrer has ever done. Working is a bit different from Cock Sparrer stereotypical stuff. Take ‘Em All is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Only one song from Shock Troops named We’re Coming Back really got me. England Belongs to Me has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Cock Sparrer’s strong vocals come to the fore. Watch Your Back - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. I Got Your Number (2:48) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Opening track Secret Army shows the best of Cock Sparrer. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Cock Sparrer. I like the agression and power of Out on an Island. Argy Bargy is another strong production from Cock Sparrer. Colonel Bogey* - Cock Sparrer first major hit.
