Self-described as R&B: Soul with lots of words, Curtis Mayfield comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Curtis-Live (Remastered) is an amazing album, racked with beauty. Now signed to Curtis Mayfield’s Virgin Records, the title track from second album “Curtis-Live (Remastered)” leads Curtis Mayfield’s back-to-school campaign. Overall, I would highly recommend Curtis-Live (Remastered) CD.
I think Rap is the best song Curtis Mayfield has ever done. You can find feelings on this piece of art. From the moment you listen to We’re A Winner you’re hooked. Rap (2) one of the best in my collection. We’ve Only Just Begun is the album’s biggest hit, I think. People Get Ready is such a cool and optimistic song that things can get just better. Rap (3) is one of the more up-tempo songs on Curtis-Live (Remastered). Some call Stare and Stare from Curtis-Live (Remastered) as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. I loved Check Out Your Mind the first time I heard it. Gypsy Woman as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. First time I heard The Making Of You was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. I came to like We The People Who Are Darker Than Blue. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. All of songs on Curtis-Live (Remastered) and have something to say letting alone Stone Junkie. A unique and uplifting song. Mighty Mighty (Spade and Whitey; Single Version) good vocals.
