seven years ago, Dance - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Love Theme from Flashdance (Helen St. John)”. Since completing 1983’s ‘Manhunt (Karen Kamon)’, Dance - Various Artists fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I am not a real Dance music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Flashdance’ really is amazing. To me Dance - Various Artists is the best band ever.
Love Theme from Flashdance (Helen St. John) is one of these floating songs. There is gorgeous mix of music in He’s a Dream (Shandi). This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Put Imagination (Laura Brannigan) into car stereo for your highway driving A unique and uplifting song. Seduce Me Tonight (Cycle V) is one of the coolest songs Dance - Various Artists has ever recorded. I’ll Be Here Where The Heart Is (Kim Carnes) - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Maniac (Michael Sembello) is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite.
