While no new David Byrne album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1981 tour in South America. Since completing 1981’s ‘Light Bath’, David Byrne fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. IF YOU LIKE ALL David Byrne’S SONG GO FOR IT! One of David Byrne’s best albums yet.
His Wife Refused one is one of the better boring ones. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. I like to sing along with Walking, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Once Under The Mountain gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Dinosaur - a classic song. The Red House is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. A unique and uplifting song. Within the first few notes of Eggs In A Briar Patch it’s perfectly clear that David Byrne is living this song. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Cloud Chamber is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Black Flag as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. In Combat the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Nice and different song. The Blue Flame has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets David Byrne’s strong vocals come to the fore. Big Business makes a person feel exquisite. Dense Beasts (3:12) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of David Byrne. What A Day That Was is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. I came to like Big Blue Plymouth (Eyes Wide Open). Light Bath is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart.
