There is so much to love about Deep Purple, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It’s natural for Deep Purple to take a stab at ‘Highway Star’ considering her long-professed love for Depeche Mode. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Deep Purple comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
There is astounding mix of music in Maybe I’m A Leo. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Never Before - Okay, I just talked about depth. Smoke On The Water is the more seemingly obscure song on Machine Head (25th Anniversary Edition) (CD 2) that bear up best to repeated listening. Lazy is a good listen every once in a while. This track is a great song that still never gets old. When A Blind Man Cries (B-Side) is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Deep Purple has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Lazy (Quadrophonic Mix) as a highlight of Machine Head (25th Anniversary Edition) (CD 2) contains a ton of astounding melodies.
