After seeing Sunshine Superman, I had to have a good Donovan cd. Sunshine Superman carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Donovan’s album Sunshine Superman falls to No. 2 with 583,000, a sales slide of 63%. Enjoy the show.
I have all of Donovan’s tracks and Legend Of A Girl Child Linda is probably the most his introspective effort. Three King Fishers - My least favorite song on this album. Ferris Wheel is perfect work of Donovan. Bert’s Blues on Sunshine Superman is solid and easy to listen to. Season Of The Witch has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Donovan’s strong vocals come to the fore. I like the idea behind The Trip. Album opener Guinevere is a bright, upbeat ditty. The Fat Angel gives taste of what makes Donovan special as a musician. Celeste is perfect.
