Doris D and The Pins’s debut, ‘Doris D and The Pins’, does not fit easily into one genre. This disc has all of the essential Doris D and The Pins classics. On Doris D and The Pins album, Doris D and The Pins have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Enjoy the show.
Musically Silver Spaceman is superior to other tracks in Doris D and The Pins. If you are a Doris D and The Pins fan, you will love Higher and Higher. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Simple and heartfelt closing track Shine Up closes Doris D and The Pins on a high note. On The Way To Paris is a strong cut, one of many. Bad Luck Honey is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Doris D and The Pins have ended. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Dance At The Schoolyard marked the continuation of Doris D and The Pins in style evolution. I have all of Doris D and The Pins’s tracks and Dance On is probably the most his introspective effort.
