Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Duran Duran’s new album to that on ‘Rio’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Duran Duran comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s natural for Duran Duran to take a stab at ‘Rio’ considering her long-professed love for Madonna. Rio touched my soul like nothing else.
If you are a Duran Duran fan, you will love My Own Way. After about the third Lonely In Your Nightmare listen through, I began to believe this song is Duran Duran’s essence. Hungry Like The Wolf is perfect. Hold Back The Rain gets you up and jumping. Voice of Duran Duran in New Religion is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Duran Duran emotions are reflected through Last Chance On The Stairway. Save A Prayer is absolutely incredible. The Chauffeur is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo.
