There were many famous songs of Eagles available. This disc has all of the essential Eagles classics. ‘Live’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. I wish that “Live” album was instrumental.
Heartache Tonight as a highlight of Live contains a ton of astounding melodies. Musically I Can’t Tell You Why is superior to other tracks in Live. I like The Long Run because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Don’t judge New Kid In Town on the first listening. You have to get essence of the Life’s Been Good’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Seven Bridges Road is the first taste of the new album. Within the first few notes of Wasted Time it’s perfectly clear that Eagles is living this song. Take It To The Limit - My least favorite song on this album. Doolin-Dalton (Reprise Ii) stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. I think Desperado is the best song Eagles has ever done. This song may be the most meaningful. It took me a little time but I ended up loving All Night Long. Although Life In The Fast Lane is very melodic it is far from sad. Take It Easy is new, fresh, and hypnotizing.
