Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Earth,Wind and Fire on ‘Getaway’. This album has some very good songs like Getaway and On Your Face. While no new Earth,Wind and Fire album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1976 tour in Australia. Spirit touched my soul like nothing else.
On Your Face is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Imagination. Spirit good vocals. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Earth Wind and Fire is a strong cut, one of many. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Departure. Biyo is just simply stunning. From the moment you listen to Burning Bush you’re hooked.
