‘Bravo Pour Le Clown’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Edith Piaf’s album Bravo Pour Le Clown falls to No. 2 with 973,000, a sales slide of 73%. eleven years ago, Edith Piaf briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Notre Dame De Paris”. Bravo Pour Le Clown touched my soul like nothing else.
This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. I like to sing along with Elle A Dit, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Jean Et Martine - This one is lively and fun. Les Amants De Venise is a medium tempo tune. The sound in Les Croix is really warm and Edith Piaf’s signature voice is still very much present. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Et Moi… is astounding. Soeur Anne motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Heureuse - For me, this is the best of the album. No Edith Piaf song has come close to capturing my attention as N’y Va Pas Manuel did. L’effet Qu’tu M’fais had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Pour Qu’elle Soit Jolie Ma Chanson is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Le Bel Indifferent - A strong beat.
