Since Edith Piaf last CD (L’homme A La Moto) on Virgin Records back in 1954, I have felt a massive void in my life. For older fans L’homme A La Moto will put a massive smile accross your face. Since completing 1954’s ‘La Goualante Du Pauvre Jean’, Edith Piaf fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Check it every song is worth the money for the L’homme A La Moto CD!
I loved Le Ca Ira the first time I heard it. Avec Ce Soleil - A strong beat. The sound in Mea Culpa is really warm and Edith Piaf’s signature voice is still very much present. Charming song, great melody. L’homme Au Piano gets you up and jumping. Sous Le Ciel De Paris I just LOVE this mix! L’accordeoniste - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Retour sets the tone for the entire album. If you are a Edith Piaf fan, you will love Serenade Du Pave. Edith Piaf has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Within the first few notes of Un Grand Amour Qui S’achcve it’s perfectly clear that Edith Piaf is living this song. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Misericorde. Legende - For me, this is the best of the album. In C’est A Hambourg Edith Piaf is at his best. L’homme A La Moto is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. I have all of Edith Piaf’s tracks and Soudain Une Vallee is probably the most his introspective effort. Avant Nous is absolutely incredible. Toi Qui Sais is the more seemingly obscure song on L’homme A La Moto that bear up best to repeated listening. I think Une Dame is the best song Edith Piaf has ever done. Et Pourtant - To me, this is the best song on the L’homme A La Moto. Marie La Francaise - This one is lively and fun. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.
