Edith Piaf’s debut, ‘Padam… Padam’, does not fit easily into one genre. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Edith Piaf has. After seeing Plus Bleu Que Tes Yeux, I had to have a good Edith Piaf cd. Plus Bleu Que Tes Yeux and Une Enfant is really good.
Only one song from Padam… Padam named Une Enfant really got me. Jezebel is simply gorgeous. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Padam… Padam is Le Noel De La Rue. A L’enseigne De La Fille Sans Coeur - A classic Edith Piaf track. Put Telegramme into car stereo for your highway driving What sets Je Hais Les Dimanches apart is Edith Piaf’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I loved Si, Si, Si, Si the first time I heard it. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Simple and heartfelt closing track Demain (Il Fera Jour) closes Padam… Padam on a high note. C’est Toi is the first taste of the new album. L’homme Que J’aimerai is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Avant L’heure is possibly the best song Edith Piaf has come up. In Rien De Rien the music gets its power. La Valse De L’amour is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. After about the third Padam… Padam listen through, I began to believe this song is Edith Piaf’s essence. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Chanson De Catherine is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. The sound of Mon Ami M’a Donne is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Je T’ai Dans La Peau - Edith Piaf first major hit. Edith Piaf is one of artists that allow his songs like Monsieur Et Madame to stand on their own and be heard. Ca Gueule Ca Madame is a bit of a show-tune.
