Since Electric Light Orchestra last CD (No Answer) on Capitol Records back in 1972, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been two years Electric Light Orchestra’ last studio CD, “No Answer” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. There is so much to love about Electric Light Orchestra, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
From the moment you listen to Look At Me Now you’re hooked. Nellie Takes Her Bow is Electric Light Orchestra’s best work in years. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. 1st Movement is the albums biggest surprise. After you’ve listened to Mr. Radio, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Manhattan Rumble (49th Street Massacre) is a very catchy tune. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Whisper in the Night is one of these floating songs.
