Since Elo last CD (No Answer) on Columbia Records back in 1971, I have felt a massive void in my life. ‘No Answer’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is the first studio album from Elo since bad diagnosis in 1971. This is what good Rock should be.
Look At Me Now has a fun tempo. This track is a great song that still never gets old. One listen to the sheer beauty of Battle Of Marston Moor (July 2nd 1644) was all I needed. 1st Movement is probably the most interesting track on No Answer. Mr. Radio is probably the highlight of the album. After about the third Manhatten Rumble (49th St. Massacre) listen through, I began to believe this song is Elo’s essence. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in No Answer. In Whisper In The Night Elo is at his best.
