This disc has all of the essential Elton John classics. Now signed to Elton John’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Blue Moves” leads Elton John’s back-to-school campaign. While no new Elton John album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1976 tour in Africa. Great Rock: Soft Rock right here!
Tonight has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Elton John’s strong vocals come to the fore. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Chameleon is possibly the best song Elton John has come up. Strong, powerful vocals of Elton John in Boogie Pilgrim are very impressive. Cage The Songbird is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word I just LOVE this mix! In Between Seventeen and Twenty it becomes nowhere more obvious that Elton John has yet to define own style. Someone’s Final Song is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Where’s The Shoorah gives good insight into the truths. Elton John sings his heart out in If There’s A God In Heaven (What’s He Waiting For). Idol - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Theme From A Non-existing Tv Series is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Bite Your Lip (Get Up and Dance!) is the albums biggest surprise.
