Elvis Costello had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Get Happy isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Elvis Costello’s album Get Happy falls to No. 2 with 190,000, a sales slide of 55%. Exciting stuff.
Opportunity gives good insight into the truths. I think The Imposter is the best song Elvis Costello has ever done. What sets Secondary Modern apart is Elvis Costello’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. All of songs on Get Happy and have something to say letting alone Man Called Uncle. Clowntime Is Over good vocals. No Elvis Costello song has come close to capturing my attention as New Amsterdam did. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. I Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down - A strong beat. Black and White World is one of the best records ever. This song may be the most meaningful. In B Movie full palet of sound is used by Elvis Costello to accentuate the presentation. Music in Motel Matches is amazing as in all tracks of Get Happy. Human Touch is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Beaten To The Punch is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Temptation is a medium tempo tune. I Stand Accused (2:21) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Within the first few notes of Riot Act it’s perfectly clear that Elvis Costello is living this song.
