Works Volume Ii is an amazing album, racked with beauty. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Emerson, Lake and Palmer energies, virtually a rebirth. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Emerson, Lake and Palmer has. Enjoy the show.
When The Apple Blossoms Bloom - To me, this is the best song on the Works Volume Ii. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. A fantastic track full of wonder. Barrelhouse Shake-Down is the albums biggest surprise. Watching Over You is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Strong, powerful vocals of Emerson, Lake and Palmer in So Far To Fall are very impressive. Maple Leaf Rag - A catchy, upbeat tune. I Believe In Father Christmas is Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s best work in years. Close But Not Touching is the albums biggest surprise. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Honky Tonk Train Blues. Vocals of Emerson, Lake and Palmer in Show Me The Way To Go Home really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
