For older fans Luxury Liner will put a massive smile accross your face. Since Emmylou Harris last CD (Luxury Liner) on ForeFront Records back in 1977, I have felt a massive void in my life. Another great offering from Emmylou Harris.
Pancho & Lefty is a bit of a show-tune. In Making Believe the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. First time I heard You’re Supposed to Be Feeling Good was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.I’ll Be Your San Antone Rose is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Still going through Luxury Liner and coming to appreciate (You Can Never Tell) C’Est la Vie more and more with every listen. This track is full of harmonies and gets Luxury Liner off to a relaxing start. Hello Stranger (4:03) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. She gives good insight into the truths. Overall a nice softer song.
